Personalizing your news feed

Hide news sources you don't want in your feed.

May 11, 2026

The Catholic News feed aggregates stories from many sources. You can exclude specific sources so they don't appear on your feed.

The Latest Catholic News feed at /catholic-news. A header shows 'Latest Catholic News' with an 'Updated 8 minutes ago' timestamp on the right, two filter tabs (Trending selected, New), and a Filter button. Below, a vertical list of news items each show a headline, a row of source-icon avatars with 'X articles' aggregate count, and a relative timestamp ('about 16 hours ago'). Sample headlines include 'Pope Leo XIV Advocates for Press Freedom and Honors Fallen Journalists', 'Suspect arrested for assault against French nun in Jerusalem', and 'Mozambique Archbishop condemns attack on Catholic Mission in Cabo Delgado'.

Hide a source

  1. Open the News feed.
  2. On any story, open the sources list and choose the option to exclude a source.
  3. That source is removed from your feed going forward.

Your excluded-source list is stored on your account and applies across devices.

Bring a source back

You can un-exclude a source from the same menu — previously excluded sources are shown so you can re-enable them.

What's not available

  • Following specific topics, saints, dioceses, or regions — the feed isn't topic-subscribable today. Trending and New cover everything surfaced by our sources.
  • Push notifications for new stories.
  • Email digests of news stories.

Privacy of your personalization

Your excluded-source list is tied to your account. It isn't visible to anyone else and isn't part of your public shared content.
