Saints of the Day widget

Who the Church commemorates today, with brief biographies and citations.

The Saints of the Day widget shows who the Church commemorates on a given date, drawn from the martyrology.

Open the widget

  • From the sidebar, click Holy Widgets and choose Saints of the Day, or
  • Ask in chat: "Who are today's saints?"

Saints of the day widget

What's shown

  • A list of the saints, beati, and commemorations for the day.
  • Each entry shows the name and a rank badge (e.g. feast, memorial, commemoration).
  • Click a name to expand a short biography and additional notes with citations.

Language

The martyrology can be viewed in several languages; use the language switcher inside the widget. Latin is not currently available for this widget.

Navigating dates

  • Open a different date by editing the URL (/widgets/saints-of-the-day/<YYYY-MM-DD>), or
  • Ask in chat: "Saints on June 13," or "Saints for yesterday."

Discuss in chat

The widget sits on top of a normal chat, so you can ask "Tell me more about St. Catherine of Siena," "Why is she a Doctor of the Church?" or "What did she write?" The AI uses the saint as context for the conversation.
