Exporting your data

Download a JSON copy of your chats and other account content.

May 11, 2026

You can download a portable copy of your Magisterium AI data directly from your account.

Export your data

  1. Click your name in the sidebar and choose Settings.
  2. In the left account sidebar, click Data controls (the page at /account/data-controls).
  3. Click Export Data.
  4. Wait for the export to generate — for large accounts this can take a few moments. You'll receive a download when it's ready.
The Data controls page showing the Export Data section at the bottom with the heading 'Export Data' and a black 'Export' button on the right. Above it sit the 'Improve the model for everyone' toggle and the 'Clear All Prompts' section (with a red Clear button) for context.

What's in the export

  • Your chats (titles, messages, timestamps).
  • Your saved memories (if you've enabled Personalization).
  • Your profile information (display name, email, avatar URL).
  • Your personalization settings (diocese, location, bio, etc.).

The export is a JSON file, so it's machine-readable and portable.

What's not in the export

  • Attached files you've uploaded (PDFs, images) are referenced but not embedded — download originals separately if you need them.
  • Your billing history lives in Stripe — download invoices from the billing portal instead. See Finding receipts and invoices.
  • The source documents Magisterium AI drew from; those remain in the Source Library.

Privacy and sharing

Your export is for you. It isn't shared, and we don't keep a copy of your download after you've received it.
