Managing your parish directory

Review parish staff and ministries, edit records, and control public contact information.

The parish Directory keeps the people and ministries associated with your parish in one place. It can include information compiled from public records as well as records maintained by your team. Review prefilled information for accuracy before using it as your current directory.

Open Directory from your parish workspace. Editing controls are available to accounts with permission to manage parish content.

Review and update staff

  1. Find the person in the parish directory and open the available edit action, or use the add action for a missing staff member.
  2. Review their name, title or role, and contact information.
  3. Add or update the photo if needed.
  4. Choose whether the record, email, and phone should be public.
  5. Save and check the resulting record.

Check for an existing entry before adding a new person. If a photo fails to save, read the error carefully: the staff details may have saved even though the photo did not. Review the record before trying again so you do not create a duplicate.

Some directory entries come from a different source and may not offer the same edit controls as parish-maintained staff records. If there is no control for the correction you need, contact the parish owner or support with the record and the correct information.

Review and update ministries

Open the ministry record’s edit action or add a ministry from the directory. Fill in the available name, description, contact, meeting, and location details. Choose whether to show the ministry publicly and whether to show its contact email, then save.

Ministries are edited in the directory interface. The statistics and finance CSV upload is not a ministry import tool.

Control public contact details

Staff records have separate controls for Show this record publicly, Show email publicly, and Show phone publicly. Ministry records similarly separate the public record from its contact email.

Check both the record visibility and its contact-field choices. A record must be public before its public contact choices can take effect. Hiding a phone number does not require deleting it from the team’s saved record.

After saving, review the parish page without team access to check what visitors receive. Your administrative view can include private fields that are absent from the public view.

Directory records and user accounts

A directory entry describes a person or ministry; it does not grant an account access to the workspace. To invite a staff member to work in Catholic Intelligence, use Settings → Members. Removing a directory entry likewise does not remove someone’s team membership. Manage these separately when responsibilities change.
