Promo codes and coupons

Two kinds of codes: Stripe promo codes at checkout, and partner codes on the Offer page.

May 11, 2026

Depending on where you got your code, you apply it in one of two places. See also the more detailed walk-through in How do I use a coupon?.

Stripe promotion code (checkout)

For percentage-off or fixed-amount promo codes (for example, from a marketing campaign):

  1. Open the Plan page.
  2. Click Subscribe on Pro or Organization.
  3. On the Stripe checkout screen, click Add promotion code.
  4. Enter your code and complete checkout.

The discount appears on your first invoice (or each renewal, depending on the code).

Partner program code (Offer page)

For partner programs like Legatus or OLPA that unlock free Pro access:

  1. Visit your partner-specific landing page (e.g. magisterium.com/offer/legatus) or the general redemption page at magisterium.com/offer/general.
  2. Sign in or create your account.
  3. Enter your code in Coupon Code and submit.
  4. Your account is upgraded immediately.
The /offer/general page titled 'Redeem your special offer!'. Body text reads 'You need to be logged in to redeem your special offer. Please log in, or create a free account below.' Below that is a 'Log in to Magisterium' card containing an Email input, a Continue button, and four OAuth providers — Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Facebook, Sign in with X (Twitter) — with a 'Don't have an account? Sign up for free' link at the bottom.

Code didn't work?

  • Check the code is typed correctly (codes are normalised to upper-case before matching).
  • A Stripe promo code only works at checkout, not on the Offer page.
  • A partner code only works on the Offer page, not at Stripe checkout.
  • If you're already on a paid plan, not all Stripe codes apply to existing subscriptions.
