Updating your name and profile

Change your display name, profile photo, and password.

Your profile information appears in the top-right of the sidebar and in any chats you share publicly. You can change it at any time.

Edit your profile

  1. Click your name in the sidebar and choose Settings.
  2. In the left account sidebar, click Account (the page at /account/account).
  3. Update any of the following:
    • Full name
    • Email (requires verification — see Changing your account email)
    • New password (only if you signed up with email and password)
    • Profile picture
  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

Profile picture

  • Upload an image; large files are automatically compressed before upload.
  • If you signed in with Google or another OAuth provider, your profile photo may have been imported automatically. You can replace it with one of your own.
  • To remove your photo, open the upload area and clear it.

Changing your password

If you signed up with email and password, you can set a new one from the Account page:

  1. Type your new password into the New password field.
  2. Click Save.

There's no separate "current password" field — Supabase, our authentication provider, ties the change to your active session. If you don't have a session (you've forgotten your password), use the reset flow instead.

If you signed in with Google, Apple, Facebook, or X, your password is controlled by that provider — change it there.

What we don't collect

  • Pronouns, title, or formal honorific fields are not part of the profile today.
  • We don't ask for a phone number as part of your profile (your number is only stored if you link WhatsApp).
