Renaming, pinning, and searching your chats
Keep your Chat History tidy with rename, pin, delete, and search.
May 11, 2026
Your chats are listed in the sidebar and in the full Chat History view. A few simple actions keep them organized.
Rename a chat
- Hover a chat in the sidebar.
- Click the three-dot (⋯) menu and choose Rename.
- Type a new name and press Enter.

Titles are automatically generated from your first message, so renaming is only needed if the default doesn't work for you.
Pin the important ones
From the same menu, choose Pin. Pinned chats sort to the top. See How do I save a response?.
Delete a chat
- From the three-dot menu, choose Delete. It's immediate and can't be undone.
- If you want to wipe your entire history, see How do I clear my prompt history?.
Search your chats
- Press Ctrl+K (or ⌘K on Mac) to open the sidebar search, or click the search icon at the top of the sidebar.
- Type a few words from the chat you're looking for.
- Pick from the suggested results. The search also lets you jump to features (widgets, settings, etc.).

What's not supported
- Folders or tags — chats are a single flat list, organized by recency and pinned status.
- Bulk delete — delete individual chats one by one, or clear everything via Settings → Data controls → Clear All Prompts.
