Saving vs pinning vs My Library

Pick the right tool for keeping content you care about.

May 11, 2026

Magisterium AI has a few overlapping ways to keep content for later. Here's when to use each.

Pinning a chat

Use Pin to mark an entire conversation as important. Pinned chats:

  • Sort to the top of your sidebar and your Chat History.
  • Stay pinned across devices.
  • Include every message in the chat.

Pin from the sidebar's three-dot menu, or use Save response under any answer (they do the same thing). See How do I save a response?.

The left sidebar's Chat History list with the three-dot (⋯) menu open on a 'What is hope?' chat row. The popover menu shows three actions stacked vertically: Pin, Rename, and Delete (in red). The rest of the sidebar lists New Chat, Search, Source Library, My Library, Holy Widgets, News, About, Blog, and Developers above the Chat History group. The main column shows the 'What is hope?' answer for context.

My Library

My Library is for keeping track of source documents and pages — not your chats.

  • Documents — save an entire document (e.g. an encyclical) from the document viewer.
  • Pages — bookmark a specific page/paragraph inside a document.

Open it from the sidebar under My Library. See Saving documents to My Library and Bookmarking pages in My Library.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church open in the document viewer. The left sidebar shows the Table of Contents (Prologue, Part 1: Profession of Faith, etc.). The main column shows the document body and, in the controls bar above it, a row of icons: a Listen (speaker) button, a Share button, a Save to Library button (open-book with a plus, this is what saves the entire document to My Library), a page Bookmark button, a Cite button, and a Translate button.

Sharing

To send a specific answer to someone else, use Share — it creates a public link to the answer (or the whole conversation). See Sharing a chat.
